ABOUT THE EVENT

Securing the Legal Future:

THE IMPORTANCE OF DATA -

Navigating Cyber Threats  - Generative AI - CRISIS MANAGEMENT - & MORE

The Lawtech Summit, now in its seventeenth year has been the platform for discussion on major topics that affect law firms and technology since 2006. In this year's programme there are two major topics of importance that will influence the future of law firms: Generative AI and Cyber security.

DOWNLOAD THE PROGRAMME

The 2023 Lawtech programme will be focussing on the following topics:

It is no doubt that AI is a gamechanger and will have a transformational impact on professional services. To follow its progress and development is vital.

The onslaught of cyber security attacks on various corporations, including HWL, have proved that there are lessons to be learnt on incidence response, including external communications, and managing the fallout. It no longer is just for technology to manage but requires a whole firm approach on a broader scale.

The programme will examine the importance of addressing the evolving cyber threats landscape, exploring the potential applications of generative AI in the legal profession, and emphasise the significance of incident response planning and crisis management. How do legal firms navigate the challenges and leverage opportunities in the face of cyber threats and the transformative potential of AI.

It is no consequence that it comes down to Data: the opportunities it provides firms ie: insights and analytics for internal efficiencies and optimisation and external differentiation and the threats (cyber). The programme will also offer pragmatic guidance on what good data management looks like and the data ‘skills’ lawyers will increasingly need, both of which are important inputs into the use of Generative AI.

2022 - OVERVIEW

16th LAWTECH SUMMIT | OVERVIEW

2022 THEME: DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION AND OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE: FUTURE FOCUSSED

As the world re-emerged out of its forced hibernation from ‘normal’ work practices to a more hybrid working environment, the power of this digitised, connected mix has changed the way we work and operate.  This digital transformation is not just about technology it’s about change and empowering people to experiment, release, and constantly enhance digital offerings.

Digitised operational excellence goes beyond technology and enters the realm of instilling discipline around core transaction and back-office processes. Digital transformation is about looking at both digitised and digital and preparing organisations and client offerings for a digital future which includes hybrid working. The future of rapid business innovation is now.

The 16th Lawtech Summit had some exceptional speakers, both national and international covering topics relevant to the theme of the event and addressing the most current issues in the spectacular surrounds of the Sheraton Mirage Gold Coast
